Health & The Bible

Nutrition isn't clearly outlined in the Bible, aside from the dietary restrictions modern Christians generally don't adhere to. However, it's clear once we delve into the scriptures, that God places a lot of emphasis on the sanctity of our physical bodies and therefore, surely our health as well.
While Biblical nutrition might be boiled down to the things we're forbidden to consume, we prefer to view the Bible's take on health as a roadmap toward happiness and longevity. From staying in peak physical condition to honoring our bodies through the foods we consume, God and vitamins are, in fact, heavily intertwined.

Don’t you realize that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who lives in you and was given to you by God? You do not belong to yourself, for God bought you with a high price. So you must honor God with your body. (1 Cor 6:19-20)

A Christian's health should be in the forefront of his or her mind. By caring for the bodies we've been given - the temples of the Holy Spirit, we glorify God. And in the processes of this glorification, we also grant ourselves the long and healthy life God wants for us.

LifeSource Vitamins & Minerals

Our bodies require a wide variety of nutrients including vitamins and minerals to function. Some of these are relatively easy to come by because they exist in a range of foods either naturally or through fortification, while others must be carefully obtained. Fat-soluble vitamins are stored in your body's fatty tissues, and therefore don't need to be consumed as often. The fat-soluble vitamins are vitamin D, vitamin A, vitamin E and vitamin K. All of these vitamins can be found in the foods around you, and in addition, your body can convert sunlight into vitamin D through exposure to UVB rays.
Although UVB rays don't penetrate as deeply as UVA, both rays have been found to contribute negatively to skin health and aging, so the best place to get vitamin D is from food.

Vitamin D can be found in animal products such as fatty fishes, liver and eggs. For those who do not consume animal products, an occasional Vitamin D supplement will be necessary. In addition, vegans should also consume a regular vitamin B12. B12 is a water-soluble vitamin, which means it leaves the body with waste and is not stored in your fat.
Other water-soluble vitamins are vitamin C and the rest of the B-vitamins, which include folic acid and biotin.

The body requires many minerals to survive, most in very small quantities. The minerals your body requires only in small amounts are referred to as "trace minerals. These include zinc, iodine, copper, chromium, selenium, molybdenum, manganese and fluoride. Minerals your body requires in larger quantities are potassium, calcium, magnesium, sodium, chloride, phosphorus and sulfur.

We carry a wide selection of vitamins and minerals that only use premium ingredients for maximum efficacy. Everything we sell is intended to benefit the body you were blessed with, and 100 percent of the proceeds from your purchase benefit someone else by being donated to Christian charities around the globe.
