Why does LifeSource Vitamins use Full Spectrum versus Isolate or Broad
Spectrum?
Full Spectrum is also referred to as “The Whole Plant Spectrum”. This means
all of our Organic Full Spectrum CBD products contain all the plants
Natural Cannabinoids, Terpenes, and Flavonoids. Full Spectrum delivers the
full synergistic effect! In other words, our Full Spectrum CBD is much more
effective at any dose.
Our Organic Whole Hemp Extract CBD Oil, which is derived from the high CBD
components of the plant such as the stalks and seeds that is then processed
using a CO2 extraction process, compressed to a 90° Fahrenheit temperature,
which is critical in preserving the plant’s minerals, adaptogens, naturally
occurring antioxidants, and a multitude of minor cannabinols such as CBG
and CBN. This process ensures the cleanest, purest, and most potent product
available.
Each hemp enriched LifeSource Vitamins product has been comprehensively
checked for nutrient density and quality control.
As a final quality assurance measure, all of our extracts are examined by a 3rd party lab for proof of purity.

CBD may offer an option for treating different types of chronic pain. A
study from the
European Journal of Pain showed, using an animal
model, CBD applied on the skin could help lower pain and inflammation due
to arthritis. Another study demonstrated the mechanism by which CBD
inhibits inflammatory and neuropathic pain, two of the most difficult types
of chronic pain to treat. More study in humans is needed in this area to
substantiate the claims of CBD proponents about pain control.

How is Is cannabidiol different from marijuana?
CBD stands for cannabidiol. It is the second most prevalent of the active
ingredients of cannabis (marijuana). While CBD is an essential component of
medical marijuana
, it is derived directly from the hemp plant, which is a cousin of the
marijuana plant. While CBD is a component of marijuana (one of hundreds),
by itself it does not cause a “high.” According to a report from the
World Health Organization
, “In humans, CBD exhibits no effects indicative of any abuse or dependence
potential…. To date, there is no evidence of public health related problems
associated with the use of pure CBD.”

Reports: Reported Benefits by users but Insufficient evidence to rate
effectiveness for...
-
Bipolar disorder. Early reports show that taking cannabidiol does not improve manic
episodes in people with bipolar disorders.
-
Crohn's disease. Early research shows that taking cannabidiol does not reduce disease
activity in adults with Crohn's disease.
-
Diabetes. Early research shows that taking cannabidiol does not improve blood
glucose levels, blood insulin levels, or HbA1c in adults with type 2
diabetes.
-
A muscle disorder called dystonia
. Early research suggests that taking cannabidiol daily for 6 weeks
might improve dystonia by 20% to 50% in some people. Higher quality
research is needed to confirm this.
-
A condition in which a transplant attacks the body
(Graft-versus-host disease (GVHD))
. Graft-versus-host disease is a complication that can occur after a
bone marrow transplant. In people with this condition, donor cells
attack the person's own cells. Early research shows that taking
cannabidiol daily starting 7 days before bone marrow transplant and
continuing for 30 days after transplant can extend the time it takes
for a person to develop GVHD.
-
Huntington's disease. Early research shows that taking cannabidiol daily does not improve
symptoms of Huntington's disease.
-
Insomnia. Early research suggests that taking 160 mg of cannabidiol before bed
improves sleep time in people with insomnia. However, lower doses do
not have this effect. Cannabidiol also does not seem to help people
fall asleep and might reduce the ability to recall dreams.
-
Multiple sclerosis (MS)
. There is inconsistent evidence on the effectiveness of cannabidiol
for symptoms of multiple sclerosis. Some early research suggests that
using a cannabidiol spray under the tongue might improve pain and
muscle tightness in people with MS. However, it does not appear to
improve muscle spasms, tiredness, bladder control, the ability to move
around, or well-being and quality of life.
-
Parkinson’s disease. Some early research shows that taking cannabidiol daily for 4 weeks
improves psychotic symptoms in people with Parkinson's disease and
psychosis.
-
Schizophrenia. Research on the use of cannabidiol for psychotic symptoms in people
with schizophrenia is conflicting. Some early research suggests that
taking cannabidiol four times daily for 4 weeks improves psychotic
symptoms and might be as effective as the antipsychotic medication
amisulpride. However, other early research suggests that taking
cannabidiol for 14 days is not beneficial. The conflicting results
might be related to the cannabidiol dose used and the duration of
treatment.
-
Quitting smoking. Early research suggests that inhaling cannabidiol with an inhaler for
one week might reduce the number of cigarettes smoked by about 40%
compared to baseline.
-
Social anxiety disorder. Some early research shows that taking cannabidiol 300 mg daily does
not improve anxiety in people with social anxiety disorder. However,
other early research suggests that taking a higher dose (400-600 mg)
may improve anxiety associated with public speaking or medical imaging
test in people with SAD.

MedlinePlus
indicates that CBD can sometimes interact with certain prescription
medications, primarily those that are “changed and broken down by the
liver.” People who are considering using CBD oil should discuss this with
their doctors. Doctors will want to monitor the person for any changes and
make adjustments accordingly. To see all the Interactions with Medications:

These include, but are not limited to common medications such as:
-
ondansetron (Zofran)

-
testosterone
-
disulfiram (Antabuse)
-
ketamine (Ketalar)
-
phenobarbital (Luminal)
-
omeprazole (Prilosec)
-
lansoprazole (Prevacid)
-
diazepam (Valium)
-
carisoprodol (Soma)
-
ibuprofen (Motrin)
-
celecoxib (Celebrex)
-
amitriptyline (Elavil)
-
warfarin (Coumadin)
-
codeine
-
paroxetine (Paxil)
-
tramadol (Ultram)
-
venlafaxine (Effexor)
-
alprazolam (Xanax)
-
fexofenadine (Allegra)
-
benzodiazepines
-
morphine
MedlinePlus further states that there are other “drugs” that can
potentially interact with CBD as well, including caffeine and nicotine.
However, research has not necessarily supported these claims.
For instance, a 2015 study
published in the journal Pharmacology Biochemistry and Behavior
found that, in the right dose, caffeine can actually potentially help
prevent CBD effects on memory.
Another piece of research, this
one published in the
Addictive Behaviors journal, found that CBD
“significantly reduced” (as much as 40 percent) the number of cigarettes
smoked by individuals who wanted to quit.
-
A
2011 study
found that CBD helped to reduce inflammatory pain in rats by affecting
the way that pain receptors respond to stimuli.
-
-
A
2014 review
of the existing body of research on animals concluded that CBD may be
an effective treatment for OA.
-
-
A
2016 study
found that the topical application of CBD had the potential to relieve
pain and inflammation associated with arthritis.
-
A
2017 study
found that CBD might be a safe and useful treatment for OA joint pain.
