Nutrition & Ingredients
What is Bone Broth Oil?
If you’ve ever made traditional bone broth, then you’ve seen the golden fat that rises to the top of the smoldering pot. In fact, the oil in bone broth typically makes up nearly half of the overall solids and calories found in broth from nutrient-rich bones!
Truth be told, in the old country, people would fight over the golden oil that’s created in real bone broth. They understood the richness of this traditional fat. But let’s be clear: organic bone broth oil is non-rendered, virgin quality organic bone broth oil—not schmaltz, which is the rendered chicken fat powering traditional Jewish cuisine. Big difference. The rendering process is a food processing technique which dries the material and separates fat from the bone and protein, which yields a concentrated fatty substance.
In the case of schmaltz, the chicken fat is rendered and the crunchy bits of skin (called gribenes), are used along with chopped onions, culminating into a delicious and prized traditional cooking oil.
Organic bone broth oil, by contrast, is produced without the rendering process, GMOs or other “undesirables.” Bone broth oil comes from a traditional bone broth process. When ready, the bones are strained out, while the remaining golden liquid is transferred and the oil gently separated.
Organic bone broth oil is the result of traditional cooking methods and ingredients, and is loaded with traditional fats.
The Ketogenic Diet and Ketosis
The ketogenic diet is a low-carb, high-fat and moderate-protein diet that shifts the body’s metabolism away from carbs and towards fat and ketones, putting the body into a metabolic state called ketosis. In short, it positions the body to burn fat as fuel.
Keto BROTH promotes these four keys to achieving ketosis:
- Macronutrient manipulation, including a high-fat, moderate-protein, low-carbohydrate diet
- Organic Bone Broth Oil and MCTs (Medium Chain Triglycerides)
- Caffeine (from organic coffee cherry) to boost energy†
- Perfect to consume during an intermittent fasting protocol
What is Ketosis?
When the body has the ability to burn fat as fuel, the liver naturally creates fats called ketones. Ketones can provide energy more efficiently than carbs can.
KetoBROTH serves up easy-to-digest, serum-soluble protein in the form of Bone Broth which also features collagen, glucosamine, chondroitin, hyaluronic acid and electrolyte minerals.
Keto BROTH also provides fat from organic chicken bone broth oil and medium-chain triglycerides (MCTs) from coconut, and MCTs are all the rage these days.
While there are four primary MCTs contained in coconut, Keto BROTH focuses on caprylic acid.
Additionally, Keto BROTH features specially selected herbs and spices, collagen peptides and Organic Coffee Cherry Extract.
Among the herbs and spices in Keto BROTH are organic ashwagandha, ginger, black pepper and long pepper. Ashwagandha, for example, is an adaptogen that has a long history of use and is well-known for its rejuvenating and energizing properties.† Ashwagandha supports muscle health, strength and performance.† The combination of ginger, black pepper, long pepper has been consumed for thousands of years in traditional Ayurveda.
Collagen is important for healthy joints, healthy skin and more, and KetoBROTH features collagen peptides.
Keto BROTH’s Organic Coffee Cherry Extract delivers a nice boost of energy.†
